On Tuesday, 25 September 2018, the Australian and ACT Governments along with the Snow Foundation announced a $6 million dollar project to add additional beds and facilities at the Clare Holland House in the ACT.

The Snow Foundation has announced that they will donate $2 million in addition to the Australian Government’s pledge of $4 million to increase the number of specialist in-patient, palliative-care beds with facilities that will allow families to stay with patients on site. The expansion will also include other improvements and the development of administration and clinical space.

“We are proud to support the Clare Holland House as they offer more patients the best palliative care, with less time in the hospital and more time with loved ones,” said Georgina Byron, CEO of The Snow Foundation.

“This expansion will allow more Canberrans to embrace the work of Claire Holland House and ensure more Canberrans live with dignity through their final days,” Ms Byron said.
