Snow Entrepreneurs Retreat

6 November 2024

Reflecting on an inspiring Snow Entrepreneurs Retreat!

Recently we spent three incredible days with our Snow Entrepreneurs at Glenworth Valley Wilderness Adventures, the Retreat is part of the Snow Entrepreneurs – Fellowships for Social Change Program. The event was filled with insightful sessions, opportunities to connect, and countless moments of inspiration.

This was the second time the ‘Snowies’ gathered for a face-to-face retreat, and the strong connections and trust they’ve built over the past year(s) were immediately evident. From thought-provoking workshops on navigating productive conflict to sharing stories around the campfire, and even a friendly ‘Survivor’-style team challenge, the retreat sparked new insights, deeper connections, and renewed energy to tackle the challenges ahead. These amazing social change leaders openly shared and workshopped real-life problems in small ‘practice pods’, offering valuable insights and diverse perspectives.

The Welcome to Country provided a great start and we are immensely grateful to our two First Nations entrepreneurs – Jason Urrandulla Davis and Georgia Weir – for sharing their stories and inviting us to learn about their history and culture.

Importantly, the ‘Snowies’ also had the chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of work and home life, spend a few days in nature among impressive peers, and embrace the feeling of having a supportive community to rely on.

It is an immense privilege and pleasure to work with our 17 Snow Entrepreneurs, and we left the retreat feeling just as uplifted and energised as they did!
