Assistance Beyond Crisis (ABC) is a sustainable micro finance facility which provides support to local ACT women and men (and their children) who have escaped from domestic violence situations and re-established their lives, but who then find themselves with a financial need (such as housing costs, school costs, household goods, or motor vehicle costs) but who are unable to access other appropriate assistance. The program commenced on 1 July 2017.
The micro-finance facility aims to close the gap for the “Missing Middle” – those between crisis and having re-established their lives, and who are not eligible for low-income safety nets but who find themselves unable to afford essential costs.
